Yes. This happens a lot when clients already have a website created, and they want it redesigned. They have already bought the hosting and registered their domain, so I will just use what my clients have already purchased. Some clients may have access to free hosting. In that case, I can use their hosting provider.

That would depend on your goals for the web site. If you run a business oriented website, you would include as much information about your products or services that your customers will be purchasing from you. You will need contact information, employee information, forms related to your business, information on products, information on upcoming events, etc... I tell my clients to send plenty of photos related to their business, so the website content can be easily distinguished more visually.
